I bought a few wines from Majestic the other day:
* Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits ‘Les Mouchottes’ 2007 Cave des Hautes Côtes — 6 at £59.94
* Mâcon Rouge 2007 Les Vignerons des Grandes Vignes — 4 at £27.96
* Lawson’s Dry Hills Pinot Noir 2008 Marlborough — 1 at £11.99
* Moulin-à-Vent ‘Les Bruyères’ 2006 B. de Monceny 1 £7.99
The first I tried was the Mâcon, which is excellent for the price, light but with character and rather better at £6.99 a bottle than our stock M&S Fleurie (about £9.95). Could become a favourite.
Just trying the Mouchottes, which is also good.
